How could one of Shakespeare’s best plays not result in a top romance movie? The play of Romeo and Juliet is read by romantics all over the world but have you ever thought what it would be like if it happened in modern day? This updated version of Romeo and Juliet retains all the romance of previous renditions but it brings a different version of it to the screen with fighting familial gangs and guns and street wars. It is definitely a mind bender. But the romance is still there. Even though it is still scripted with the original words of the play, it is easy to understand how these young lovers fall in love and fight to be together right up until the tragic end. This is a romance movie to remember.
