Original title: Le fabuleux destin d’Amelie Poulain. Also called Amelie, this is a movie about a girl who was raised believing that she had a heart defect. You might not think of this as a romance movie but the way she lives her life is just plain romantic. As a child her father’s concern for her health prevented her from being around other people so she creates a fantasy world to entertain herself. When she finds out that she can live her life and moves to Paris, her life becomes that fantasy world that she lived in as a child with a devotion to those who live around her. It is not they typical boy meets girl, girl loves boy that you often see in top romance movies, but this is a movie that will challenge your ideas and thoughts of romance.

Jane becomes a teacher, which leads her to meet an employer that she was not expecting. And you won’ expect the romance that arises from the situation either.

When a young woman is about to get married she finds out that there are three men that could be her father and she wants to know which one it is! Of course her mother isn’t giving that information up willingly so her daughter invites all three of the men to her wedding. This movie will have many surprises and some laughter and lots of romance as you listen to the music (there is lots of it) and try to figure out who was the man her mother really loved and is her father. This is one of the top romance movies of 2008!

The play of Romeo and Juliet is read by romantics all over the world but have you ever thought what it would be like if it happened in modern day? This updated version of Romeo and Juliet retains all the romance of previous renditions but it brings a different version of it to the screen with fighting familial gangs and guns and street wars. It is definitely a mind bender. But the romance is still there. You might not expect a romance movie to come from the meeting of two American strangers in Tokoyo but that is exactly what develops when Bob Harris and Charlotte meet. She the young wife of a photographer visiting Tokoyo and hes a film actor that has passed his prime. He’s much older than her and they easily fall together as they take on the challenges of discovering a country where they don’t know the language. They are both married bu somehow, they forget that for the time being. But do they have to remember that eventually? Do they have to go back to their lives at some point? Or is there another solution. Romance movies like this raise many questions and hopefully the answers are as good as the movie is.

This romance movie is full of conflict, confusion, bitterness, and sometimes happy moments -- their romance will turn your mind upside down but you will be cheering them on and hoping that everything will work out with a happy ending, nonetheless!

When you see the commercials for this romance movie you know that it is going to make your cry. Holly Kennedy is young and at the prime of her life and her relationship with her Irish husband Gerry. So when he dies, she’s completely lost. Part of her dies with him. But he helps her with the transition to a new life by writing letters for her before he dies and makes sure that they are delivered to her once a month. They not only help her through her mourning but help her rediscover who she is so that she can start living again. There is no doubt that this is a tear jerker of a movie but the love that Holly and Gerry had for each other makes it one of the top romance movies ever.

You wouldn’t think that a movie about a 40 year old virgin that is desperate to lose his virginity could turn into a romance movie, but somehow it does. Andy has never had sex and his friends seem to be determined to help him lose his virginity. But the thing is that he’s really a nice guy so when he meets Trish, a single mom the same age as him, he knows he can’t just treat her like his friends think he should. He likes her too much. And she likes him, too. This movie is sweet and funny at the same time and Andy and Trish bring loads of romance to what is supposed to be a college comedy. They can’t help falling in love and love is more important to Andy than sex.
